What Assange faces in an American jail

The High Court of England & Wales has ruled that WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange may get a final appeal against extradition to the United States, but only if certain conditions are met. His freedom of speech might be restricted in America and there is a possibility he could face the death penalty. The Americans must therefore provide assurances that neither of these instances will happen, and if given Assange’s legal team may challenge their validity.

Stop arms sales to Israel!

Last Saturday around 80 people marched from Kentish Town to Mornington Crescent in north London in one of many local protests across Britain calling for a ceasefire in Gaza and for Britain to end arms sales to the extreme Zionist government in Israel l e d b y B e n j a m i n Netanyahu. Passing close to the famous Camden Market, the protest as usual ended near Sir Keir Starmer’s constituency Labour Party office.

The measure triggered opposition across the social spectrum from the Catholic Church to the National Secular Society which should have alerted them to what they were letting themselves in for.
